About the Recipe
These golden Veggie Balls are crispy, comforting, and packed with flavor in every bite. Made with mashed potatoes, finely chopped carrots and onions, and a simple mix of spices, they’re shaped into bite-sized balls, coated in flour, gram flour slurry, and breadcrumbs — then deep-fried until perfectly crisp. They’re great as a snack, party starter, or side dish, and best of all, they’re completely egg-free!

Ingredients
2 Boiled Potatoes ( Mashable consistency)
1/2 Onion
1/2 Carrot
1 1/2 tsp Chili Powder
1 1/2 tsp Cumin Powder
Salt and Pepper to taste ( approx. 1/2 tsp or more)
1 1/2 Tbsp of All-Purpose Flour
Crumbing Station:
2 Cups All-Purpose Flour (Season with salt and pepper)
3 tbsp Gram Flour
1/2 cup of water
1 cup Breadcrumbs ( Fresh or Panco)
1litre Oil for Deep Frying
Preparation
Steps:
Step 1. Mash the boiled potatoes and add the diced carrot and onion.
Step 2. Add the spices and mix well.
Step 3. Add flour so that the veggie balls hold the shape when frying and don't break.
Step 4. Set up crumbing station and coat the veggie ball in flour, then gram flour slurry, and then in breadcrumbs.
Step 5. Deep fry in oil until golden brown.
Step 6. Serve hot alongside condiments.
